** Creators do not need to apply for the trade program in order to offer trade discounts. The trade program application is for trade buyers ONLY.

Who are trade buyers?
The majority of Wescover's trade members are interior designers (both commercial and residential) who come to Wescover to source unique pieces across their portfolio of projects. Other trade members include business owners, developers, and retailers.
How are trade members vetted?
To apply for the trade program, we require submission of business tax documentation and a resale certificate (if applicable).
How do trade discounts work? Do they apply to all listings?
If you opt to include a set percentage as your trade discount, the discount will apply to all 'Buy-now' listings on your creator page. Otherwise, if you'd prefer to discount only certain items or discount items differently, simply mark 'I offer special prices for trade clients' so potential buyers will know to inquire for trade discounts.
How can I identify a trade vs. a retail buyer on Wescover?
Inquiries from buyers who are a part of Wescover's trade program are denoted with a turquoise star next to their name in your inquiry inbox.
How to enable trade discounts:
Log into Wescover
Go to 'Account Settings' page
Scroll down to 'Trade Discount' section
Click 'Edit'
Mark the box that say 'I offer special prices for trade clients'
Specify a trade % discount
How to enable trade discounts for Shopify-integrated listings?
Log into your Shopify Store admin
Create an automatic product collection (If you do not already have one) for all products to allow the discount on.
Important! Wescover expects all products published on our platform to allow the trade discount.
Go to the collection creation section using the menu on the left
Create Collection
Choose "Automated" for the collection type
Set a condition for "price larger than 0" - this is how collections include all products automatically
Save and go back.
Move on to setup the discount.
Select 'Discounts' on the main menu
Click 'Create discount'
Select 'Amount off products'
Create discount code
Browse and find the collection to allow the discount on, and keep the rest as is.
Input Summary
Discount code = WESCOVER_TRADE
Discount Value = Percentage / Your trade % discount
Applies to = Specific products
Don't choose specific products (Applies to all products)
Minimum purchase requirements = No minimum requirements
Customer eligibility = All Customers
Maximum discount uses = LEAVE EMPTY
Combinations = LEAVE EMPTY
Active dates = Select start date + end date LEAVE EMPTY
Save Discount
FINAL STEP - Configure the code on the Wescover side
Log into your Wescover account
Go to 'Account Settings' page
Under Trade Discount section, add WESCOVER_TRADE (Or the code you chose to use)
**Note: Code WESCOVER_TRADE is simply a suggestion. You're welcome to create your own code, as long as it's accepted by Shopify.
